How to test your controller
Connect your controller through USB or Bluetooth and press each button. A button will show HOLD while you are holding it and will remain marked with a green check when the test detects that it works.
Test your controller D-pad
Press ↑, ↓, ← and → on your controller. Each direction is tested individually, making it easy to find a D-pad direction that isn't registering correctly.
Test analog sticks
Move both analog sticks around their full range. The virtual sticks move with your controller and the live X/Y values show the position reported by your browser.
Test controller triggers
Press the L2 and R2 triggers. Compatible controllers report their pressure as an analog value, allowing you to check whether the trigger responds across its range.
Why isn't my controller detected?
Reconnect the controller and press a button after connecting it. For Bluetooth controllers, make sure the controller is paired correctly. You can also try another USB port or browser if the controller isn't detected.
This gamepad tester uses the browser Gamepad API. DeviceTest does not need to upload your controller input. Results depend on your browser, operating system and controller.
